Jay Mariotti leaves the Chicago Sun-Times

It was reported yesterday that Jay Mariotti of the Chicago Sun-Times and “Around the Horn” of ESPN has left the Chicago Sun-Times to pursue other opportunities.

He joined the Sun-Times in 1991.

I never liked this guy, it seemed like he would bash his own teams before complementing them.

I think he was the guy, who started the Rex Grossman bashing.

I’m glad to see him gone, now a quality can take his sport for Chicago.

This is an article about being a Chicago sports and with this Jay Mariotti gone we can feel a little relieved.
