I got a chance to interview Bears wide receiver Brandon Rideau.
He spent most of the last two seasons on the practice squad, but got a chance to be on the active roster last season, but never caught a ball.
Here is my interview with Bears wide receiver Brandon Rideau:
Me: Hey Brandon.
Brandon: What up dude.
Me: How is practice going?
Brandon: There over as of last Thursday.
Me: Have you been getting a lot of snaps with the first team offense?
Brandon: Yes I have been.
Me: Jay Cutler is legit right?
Brandon: Yes sir he definitely has got a gun.
Me: Is there still alot of talk around the team about adding Plaxico Burress?
Brandon: Not that I’ve heard.
Me: How are the rookies looking, especially Knox?
Brandon: They look good. There making plays.
Me: Thanks for your time Brandon
Brandon: No problem.

Was that for real? He has a chance to be big for us this year and might finally be getting his first opportunity and you didn’t even ask him about his own game or progress. I would have spent my few questions on him rather than on other people especially the Plaxico question. Someone that is not even on the team, that would be insulting to me.

Yes that interview was real. I know that Plaxico question was a little insulting but I didn’t have much time to ask him a lot of questions and other real reporters have asked him about his progress i posted some quotes at this url http://www.bearsbacker.com/2009/06/speak-up-brandon-rideau-on-possibility-of-playing-this-season/.
