Of course I asked about Cutler and he was more than complimentary. I specifically made not to him that I had heard him referred to as “temperamental”, and asked if that was code for headcase. He assured me that Jae was neither temperamental nor a headcase, but a 20 something year old probowl quarterback with an ego. He then went to on to note “find me a pro bowl quarterback of ANY age that does not have an ego.” His overall impression was strongly that our new quarterback is emotionally and professionally stable. My thought is, even if he has some growing up to do, what better place and what better coach could there be to do just that? This is a team with a blue collar mentality that will knock off the rough edges, while Lovie is certainly capable of helping him mature. Here is to next season! Cutler should play up to his potential in Chicago and if he does he could go down as one of the best especially with the weapons they have on offense and defense.
