thanks for the comments guys. I agree that Vick is rusty and would be a distraction, but if he was allowed back into the league by atleast week 2 of preseason he would be better than our backups. I understand the thoughts about Cutler being the main guy, but I'm just afraid of him getting hurt thats all. I'm a big fan of Caleb Hanie, but lets face it he was undrafted for a reason, and who knows about Basanez. Vick would be a solid option to go to if Cutler struggles or goes down with an injury. God for bid. I like the Bears receivers alot, but I was just saying that he could be used on certain plays, trick plays maybe

It has been reported Vick is searching for a place he can START, Clearly with Cutler He wouldn't start and I don't think the Bears Organization would risk any kind of controversy with Cutler after giving up 2 first rounders and K.O. for him.

If the wildcat formation is the reasoning why pay a guy simply for a few gimmick plays that may or may not get any results, Especially when you have Hester and Forte.

Again why pay for another unproven W.R.The Bears already have Iglesias and Knox and Kinder as W.R. Prospects, and Hester and Knox already would be the fastest Duo in the League.

Cutler and Hanie may not be the leading Q.B. rushers but are allot more mobile than K.O. ever was, All a good Q.B. needs is to be able to be mobile enough to avoid the rush and gain a few yards while doing it. Look at Marino, Young, and Elway as examples.

Yes he was drafted in the first round in 2001? is being 29 and out of football since 2006 a good thing?

The Wild Cat formation would be a perfect response to Green Bay's new 3-4 defense though... Good post.

Agreed. However, a superstar like Vick would interupt Cutler's playing time. Right now I think Cutler needs to be our main priority. While we do not have a solid backup it would cause too many distractions and not just by the media. If Cutler were to have one bad game and Vick went in to replace him and did well then Vick would always start. While I am excited about having a franchis QB for the first time in 30 years I want to give Cutler time to develope the last parts of his game to become an NFL legend. Brining Vick in may put to much mental stress on Cutler and he might fold. It would be a case of only time can tell with the two of them on one team. I do think that Vick is better than probably 20 current starters in the NFL so it would be nice to have that as a back up.

Thanks for the comment, I think he can be a situational player sord of like Pat White will be with the Dolphins. I know the Bears won't ever expand there offense because of Ron Turner, but if they brought in Vick, it wouldn't be a bad idea to have some wildcat formations. I mean Vick, Hester and Forte, you can't get much better than that on the field. I don't Ctuler would be that mad. I think it wouldn't take away from his playing time, it would just be insurance in case of injury, but Vick is rusty and will definitely be a distraction because of the media.

How do you think that would make Cutler feel? We dont want another Denver situation on our hands...

Nice post. When Vick was release I thought about the possibilities of Vick joining the bears. Do you really think he could be a dominant reciever though? I mean yeah he is only 29 and you cant doubt that he has an extremem amount of athletic ability but he has had two years out of the league in prison. Your thoughts?
