Training Camp Notes

Bears Camp FootballWith training camp 2009 underway, everyone wants to know what exactly is going on at the practice field.

Well if you want to know Jay Cutler and the offense are starting to gel quickly.

Zack Bowman is really shining as a starting cornerback across from Nate Vasher.

Orlando Pace looks to be in top shape.

Brian Urlacher picked off a Cutler pass and took and all the way for a touchdown.

Danieal Manning left the field with cramps, but returned later in the day.

Josh Beekman is working with the first team offense, while new guard Frank Omiyale works with the second team.

Marcus Harrison is working to lose 14 pounds before the start of the season.

Johnny Knox faked Trumaine McBride out of his own shoes.

The most important note is Matt Forte is receiving less time, while Kevin Jones and Garrett Wolfe get some needed practice.

Sounds like loads of fun and it’s definitely been the talk of the nation. I hope that game at Invesco can go off without a hitch-those people seem to be very upset but it’s directed at the wrong person. No one made Mr. Bowlen trade Jay so I really don’t understand why they seem to think that it’s his fault. You certainly can’t fault him for going back to Denver to try to fix it.

I hope that preseason game goes by quick and they don’t give him such a hard time. He will benefit from not having to carry a team for the first time in his career. He simply can be Jay and not be forced into Elway’s body. I’ve been to Denver on vacation and that’s all they talk about. Cowboy fans have embraced Romo and our 2 have stayed quiet, but they persist in trying to make everyone him. It was sickening because everything he did was wrong and they acted like they didn’t want him there-I don’t blame him for leaving.

He can now relax and be himself. Let someone else be the leader for a while, absorb the scene, and slowly work himself into a leadership role. It sure helps with a defense and run game in place. He’s the real deal and he will make every player on the offense better. Forte will certainly enjoy it because it will free him to be more explosive.

I heard that Broncos fans booed Kyle Orton

You got that right! From what I gather it was pretty bad and it’s not the system either. They have different abilities and they see that now. He can’t survive against the tough NFC East because they’ll have trouble running the ball. I have friends that are Bronco fans and I told them they would regret trading him. They are a small marker frnachise and when faced with a big market problem, they failed.

Did you know that the Broncos not only lost Jay, but they also lost Tony Romo? That’s right, he took an initial lower rate of pay from the Cowboys instead. You can’t blame him,if you have a choice it’s alot more cool to be a Bear,Steeler, or Cowboy than to be a Bronco one. After all, we’re on tv all the time.

haha thats pretty funny i didnt know they lost Romo. Personally I think Orton is a decent QB, but just has no deep ball. He can’t get the ball down the field I remember many times last season when he underthrew Devin Hester on deep balls, he has a mush arm. And Romo I think he is way overrated. the team will be under .500 this year with him. they have no receivers with TO gone, and the coaching staff is aweful. Romo is and always will be overrated. I think he is Tony Homo. I mean he did break up with Jessica Simpson, he is stupid
