Breaking News: Kevin Jones Out For The Season

Browns Bears FootballAgain Brad Biggs of the Chicago Sun-Times and National Football Post has provided us with breaking news before anyone else.

This is what he had to say:

Chicago Bears running back Kevin Jones will miss the entire season after suffering a torn ligament in his left ankle Thursday night at Soldier Field.

Jones jumped near the sideline on his seventh carry of the game and came down awkwardly on his left ankle. X-rays were negative but an MRI performed this morning showed the damage. He will require surgery and the rehabilitation process is expected to take eight to 10 months.

He re-signed with the Bears in March, getting a $3.5 million, two-year contract to come back as the complement to starter Matt Forte. Jones suffered a torn ACL with the Detroit Lions in 2007.

This means that Forte will now be backed by Garrett Wolfe and Adrian Peterson.

The Bears should be looking to sign another running back because Garrett Wolfe and Adrian Peterson are definitely not dependable backups for Matt Forte.
