Former Bears WR Brandon Rideau, who was released this preseason after Devin Aromashodu beat him out was signed today by the Toronto Argonauts of the CFL.

Rideau was a preseason stud the last two years, but didn’t show enough to be out draft picks Earl Bennett, Johnny Knox and Juaquin Iglesias.

The former University of Kansas wide receiver dressed for only two games (2008) in his time with the Bears.

Rideau was always a good player, but he just couldn’t break into the starting lineup. I hope does well in the CFL with Toronto maybe this will help him audition for the NFL next season.
